F.A. Ingersoll, 81, of Amherst OH, died Monday morning November 17, 1986, at home following a long illness. Born in Camden Township OH, he lived in Amherst three years after moving from Wellington OH where he resided 20 years.

Employed as a machinist for 30 years by the former Tappan Manufacturing plant in Elyria OH, he was a former member of the Molder’s Union in Elyria. He was a member of the Kipton Community Church.

Mr. Ingersoll is survived by his wife, Betty, to whom he was married four years; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Joan) Forney of Wellington OH; one son, Stanley of Birmingham OH; step-sons, Charles and William Jackson, both of Wakeman OH; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mrs. Mable Keithley of Elyria OH, and Mrs. Leonard (Blanche) Baker of South Amherst OH.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carrie, in 1979; one daughter, Beverly, in 1932; two sisters. Emma and Grace; and three brothers, Bill, Seth, and Charlie.

Friends may call today 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Gerber Funeral Home, Wakeman OH. Services will be Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Elmer Morgan, pastor, Kipton Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in Camden Cemetery, Kipton OH.
