Lloyd Glennon Farmer -- affectionately known as "L.G." by his family, a 73 year-old native of St. Louis, MO and a longtime resident of Mobile, passed away at a local hospital on Thursday, September 3, 2009. He retired from Ingall's Shipbuilding in 1998 after 26 years of service. Mr. Farmer loved watching baseball and football. He gave selflessly of himself to those he loved and cared for. Mr. Farmer was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Dianna Ruth Milstead; parents, Aubrey and Marie Farmer; and brother, David Farmer. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Adair (Robert) of Mobile and Angela Nolte (Ed) of Fairhope; brothers, Melvin Farmer (Charlotte) of Saraland and George Farmer (Sheila) of Chickasaw; sister, Mary Couey (Norville) of Semmes; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 7, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Indian Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George E. Farmer, Tony Farmer, Kevin Farmer, Glenn Farmer, Robert Adair, and Ed Nolte. Arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL.
