Onnie was born in Tulsa, the son of Jake Oscar Harlow and Nancy Graves Harlow, and went home to be with the Lord, after a brief battle with cancer. He passed with his family by his side. Onnie served in the U.S. Army in the early 1950's. On Sept. 1, 1953, he married Myrtle Juanita New in Tulsa, OK. In 1955 they moved to Eldon Oklahoma and for 15 years owned and operated Harlow's Grocery and established Tahlequah Lime and Fertilizer. In 1970 they moved north of Tahlequah where they had a commercial strawberry farm, raised cattle and purchased Cycle City. Onnie was an ordained deacon in the Baptist faith and in 1978 became an ordained minister. He was a devoted witness for the Lord, sharing God's plan of salvation with everyone he met. He was an entrepreneur, a patented inventor, and a truck driver by profession for 60 years. Onnie enjoyed, serving the Lord, attending church services, fishing, riding motorcycles, riding horses, camping, hunting, playing dominoes and card games, cooking, and especially spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Onnie is preceeded in death by both parents, 2 brothers, Jake Robert Harlow and John Van Harlow, and two sisters, Adaline Alice Harlow Baker and Mary Deloris Harlow. Keeping Onnie alive in their memories are his survivors, his beloved wife of 56 years, Myrtle; eight children, Juanita Nottingham and husband Bill of Tahlequah, Tammy Phillips of Tahlequah, Patti Morton and husband Owen of Tahlequah, Robert Harlow and wife Sandra of Tahlequah, Jim Harlow of Kansas City Missouri, Lucretia Harlow of Tahlequah, Michael Harlow and wife Sabrina of Sapulpa, and Chad Harlow and wife Jennifer of Tahlequah. Onnie is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, Chris Nottingham and wife Marti, Cody Nottingham and wife Candace, Ceyeli Nottingham, Brandy Phillips, Nicki Barnes Scott and husband Justin, Blake Barnes, Jake Barnes, Austin Morton, Andi Morton, Josh Reasor, Jacob Reasor and wife Shantana, Adam Reasor and wife Jenny, Jimmie Don Harlow, Hannah Harlow, Noah Harlow, and Gracie Harlow; eight great grandchildren, Colby Nottingham, Hayden Nottingham, Wyatt Nottingham, London Scott, Cy Morton, Sasha Sevenstar, Hailey Harlow, and J.T. Reasor; sisters, Helen Baker and Nancy Reynolds, as well as nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. Onnie was a member of First Baptist Church. The family requests those wishing to send an expression of sympathy consider making a donation in Onnie's name to the First Baptist Church of Tahlequah Building Fund or The American Cancer Society. The family wishes to extend their special thanks to the staff of the Muskogee VA Hospital, especially Dr. Janice Smallwood, for their care and support during Onnie's last years, to Angels Care Home Health and to Carter Hospice, especially Lindsey, Deborah, April, Lou Ann and Dr. Jim Brixey, for their loving care during the last few months. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Audie Shankle, Ray Webb, Henry Benn, Ron Beaverson, Don Foster, Luke Kelley, Virgle Dirks, Loy Lee, Veraman Davis, Johnny Wells and Dr. Jim Brixey.
