Survivors: six daughters, one son: Itha (Roy) Murdock of Heber City, Utah, Elva Ludlow, Mural (Jack) Laughter, Bruce Simmons, all of Salt Lake City; Rose Smith, of Southgate, California, Reva (Roll) Haling, of hawaiian Gardens, California; Roberta (Paul) Dexter of West Jordan, Utah, 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, three brothers, one sister; Jesse Simmons, Chester, Utah; William, Red Creek, Utah; Sylvan, Brigham City, Utah; Ellen Eatough of Orem, Utah. A son Ernest LeRoy Simmons Jr. preceded him in death.
He is buried in the Charleston Cemetery, Charleston, Wasatch, Utah.
