He was born on Aug. 11, 1922, in Athens to the late English Long Jackson and the late Joise Ward.
Mr. Jackson served on USS Chenango from June 9, 1942 to June 8, 1945 and was a Train Conductor with Amco Steel. He was a member of the Lions Club.
Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, English L. Jackson and Joise D. Jackson; his wife, Fay Jackson; brother, English L. Jackson, Jr.; sister-in-law, Alice Jackson.
He is survived by his daughter Pat and son-in-law, Fred Zotzky, of Malakoff; two grandchildren, Cindy Zotzky, of Malakoff; James Zotzky; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah Zotzky, Caitlin Zotzky and James Zotzky, all of South Carolina.
