Mrs. Clara Lewellen was born near Strother, Missouri, April 22, 1897, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Crigler. She married Jacob Lewellen, and worked at the Franke and Kizer drug stores before moving to DeSoto. She was a member of the Paris Christian Church.

Surviving are daughter, Hazel Schulz and son Raymond Lewellen, granddaughters, and great grandchildren, one brother, Albert Crigler of Santa Fe, two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Francis and Mrs. Frances Mallenkrodt..
