Lieutenant Robert Leroy Anders was born on June 10, 1941 and was a Unrestricted Line Officer (Surface Warfare) and had 3 years of service in the U.S. Navy. LT Anders arrived in Vietnam and was assigned to Coastal Surveillance Center (Vung Tau), Coastal Surveillance Force, Task Force 115 (TF-115), U.S. Naval Forces Vietnam (USNAVFORV).
On February 2, 1969 LT Anders was killed in a non-hostile vehicle accident in Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam.
