Randall "Teddy" Townsend died Monday, July 20, 2009, following a battle with cancer.
A 1974 graduate of Midway High School, he attended and played football at East Tennessee State University, Johnson City.
He was preceded in death by father, Theodore Townsend.
Survivors include his wife Paula; mother, Peggy; sister, Bunnie Davidson; daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Robbie Harvey; son and daughter-in-law, Drew and Christina Townsend; stepdaughter, Angela Eller; stepson, Keith McLaughlin; grandchildren, Damon Sedor, Kayden Harvey, Makayla Townsend, Ashlyn McLaughlin, Nick McLaughlin and Brooklyn Ralford; nieces, Miranda Carter and Demi Chappell; nephew, Dalton Davidson; special great-niece, Cambria Carter; great-nephew and namesake, Randall G. Carter; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 23, in Kyker Funeral Home, Kingston.
Funeral service will follow in the chapel, with the Rev. Tommy Patterson and the Rev. Wayne Townsend officiating. Graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, at Midway Church of God Cemetery.
