Fred Leslie, son of Benjamin T. and Mary Jane (Crandall) Bliss, was born January 21, 1877, in Little Genesee, NY, and died April 2, 1964, at the St. Francis Hospital in Olean, NY.
Mr. Bliss attended grade school in Little Genesee and Bolivar high school. He was married Dec. 3, 1900, to Nina N. Clark in Little Genesee, NY., who survives. To this union were born three children: Lula Louise who died in infancy; Bernice (Mrs. Alton Bentley) of Little Genesee, and Donald B. Bliss of Allegany, NY. There are four grandchildren.
Mr. Bliss spent most of his life in Little Genesee as a farmer. He retired in the early 40s. He was baptized and joined the Little Genesee Seventh Day Baptist Church in 1891, and was a member until his death. He pledged his eyes to the Eye Bank.
Funeral services were held in Bolivar, NY., Sabbath afternoon, April 4, 1964, with Pastor Herbert Saunders officiating. Burial was in the Wells Cemetery, Little Genesee.
