He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Dale and Raymond, both at home; his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Jesse Kindred of Hord, Ill.; a brother, Jack of Noble and a sister, Mrs. Betty Cooper of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Leon was a decorated veteran of World War II and served in the paratroopers. He was one of Richland County's finest young men.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Glenwood Christian Church, with Rev. Dowden of Olney assisted by the Glenwood pastor, Rev. Schwartzbaugh in charge. Burial will be in the Noble Cemetery. The body is at the Easley-Padgett Funeral Home in Noble.
