John William Fletcher, 77, Marceline, MO, died Sunday, May 8, 1977, at Chastains Nursing Home Services were held Wednesday at Miller-Tillotson Chapel conducted by the Rev Kenneth Kelley. Burial was in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Marceline, MO. John William Fletcher, Son of William & Sarah Elizabeth (Ferguson) Fletcher, was born July 12, 1899, in Brunswick. MO. On December 19, 1925, he married to Ilah Faye Young. She died March 12, 1952. On November 13, 1953, he married Dice B Hornsby. Mr Fletcher is survived by his wife, of the home. 3 Daughters, Mrs Joan Mataya, of Clayton, Wash. Mrs Donna Morris, of El Dorado Springs, MO. and Mrs Audrey Rutliff, of Thompson, MO. 2 Half-Sisters, Mrs Mary Maegruder, of Brunswick, MO, and Flossie Gooch, of Carbin Cliff, ILL, 1 Half-Brother, Calvin Carr, of St Petersburg, FL. 6 Step-Children Roberta Stephenson, of Marceline, MO. Wilda Jefferson, Mexico, MO. Wava Trion, of Mooresville, MO. Ralph Hornsby, of Cameron, MO. Dick Hornsby, of Chillicothe, MO. and Ira Hornsby, of Excelsior Springs, MO. 9-Grandchildren, 18 Step-Grandchildren, 8-Great Grandchildren, and 14 Step-Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 infant-daughters, 1-Brother, Howard Fletcher, his Step-Father, Edward Carr, a step-daughter, Mrs Nadine Ashpaugh, and a Step-Grandson, Dennis Pettit.
