==========
"The LaFayette Sun" - June 28, 1911:
Stumpville - Sunday afternoon, June 18th, the Death Angel visited the home of Mr. John Belcher and bore away his companion to her eternal home beyond the skies. Mrs. Belcher was 51 years of age at the time of her death. She leaves besides her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Amanda Sessions, Mrs. Eula Farmby, Mrs. Carrie Weaver and Miss Frances Belcher; three sons, Leonard, Starling and John T., and a host of friends to mourn her loss. To know her was to love her. She was a friend to every one with whom she came in contact. Weep not, dear loved ones, for she is safe in the arms of Jesus, to whom we commend you in this your hour of great sorrow. Elder W. B. Morgan assisted by Elder Charlie Welch spoke comforting words to the bereaved. Her body was laid to rest in the family burying grounds at (west of) Shiloh.
