Charles Jackson (C.J.) Rose,75,passed away June 19,2009 at his residence in Soper, Okla. He was born January 8,1934 in Talihina,Okla. The son of Herbert and Edna(Meadows)Rose. He married Ruth(Jackson)Black on Sept.26,1998 in Soper, Okla. C.J. was a Heavy Equipment Operator in construction, and he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and U.S. Air Force. C.J. is survived by his wife Ruth Rose;Sons:Charles Rose Jr. of Soper, Okla. Herbert Rose and wife Susie of Hugo,Okla. Jimmy Rose,Sr. and wife Cheri of Longtown,Okla. Russell Rose of Antlers,Okla. Jason Black of Soper, Okla. Bruce Black II of Soper,Okla. Johnny Bruce of Soper,Okla. who was like a son. Daughters: Joyce Cunningham and husband Ron of Hackett,Ark. Donna Boykin and husband Haston Jr. of Soper,Okla. and Sharon Black of Soper,Okla. Brothers:Gilbert Rose if Tushka,Okla. and Lloyd Bud Rose of Calif.-One Sister:Bobbie Brinar, of Calif. Grandchildren:Michael Patrick and wife Jessie, Bobby Patrick and wife Sandy,Billy Webster,Jim Webster,Leslie Rose,Chris Potter,Josh Roberts,Charles Rose,Jimmy Rose,Jr. and wife Jessica,Derek Eagle,Hannah Boykin,Sherman Boykin,Haston Boykin,III,Bobbi Erwin,Jolene Whittle,and Jermey McKillip. Twenty-nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends.He is preceded in death by his parents,his daughter,Lera Ann McKinley,his grandson,Russell Wayne Rose Jr. his sister,Norma Lee Rose and his first wife Lera Pearl(Joslin)Rose. Graveside services were held at Old Talihina Cemetery,Talihina, Okla. on June 23,2009, with Brother Haston Jess Boykin Jr. officiating. Interment was at Old Talihina Cemetery,Talihina,Okla. Arrangements under the direction of Miller and Miller Funeral Home,Hugo,Oklahoma.
