Katherine Sherrick Huff wife of William J. Huff died at 6 oclock Wednesday morning at her home, 528 W.Decatur street. She was born in Decatur and her girlhood days were spent here. She graduated from Decatur High school in the class of 1886 and taught for several years in the public schools of the city. Later she moved with her mother to be with her brother, the late Dr.Chauncey Sherrick, who was a prominent physician in that city. On June 14,1907 she was married to William J.Huff and since that time has made Decatur her home. All her life has been rich both for Mrs. Huff and for those coming in contact with her. She in the giving of her self, others in coming in contacat with a life beautifully lived. She was a member of Grace Methodist church, an active member of the study class and was chosen a charter member of the P. E. O. During the war she was among the most active Red Cross workers.
She is survived by her husband and one sister, Mrs.S.B.Mayes of Greensburg, Pa. who has been with her for the last four months.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 oclock in the home for intimate friends and relatives. The body will be placed in the Grindol Mausoleum until the Huff mausoleum is completed.
