Cecil Fae Knight was born in Alief, Texas to Franklin David and Willie (Kilpatrick) Lown. She married William Elliot Knight on July 13, 1962 in Freeport, Texas. She was a dedicated schoolteacher for 36 years and continued to guide and teach all those around her throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Elliot Knight of Kenney; daughter LaVerne and husband Ed of Bay City; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin David Lown; her mother Willie Kilpatrick Lown, a brother, Frank Lown, and a sister, Edith LaVerne Lown.

Mrs. Knight, known to her loved ones as Mimi, was a God-sent blessing to all those whose lives she touched. Her greatest joy was her family.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, January 20 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. Burial followed at Prairie Lea Cemetery.
