Mary (McKelvey) Lattus, 98, of Hickman, Ky., died 12:38 p.m. Sept. 3, 2009, at Golden Living Center in Union City.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Shijo Vadakkumkara officiating. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Friends may call at Strong Funeral Home in Hickman from 6-8 this evening.

Pallbearers will be Don Lattus, Jason Lattus, Johnny Lattus, Tommy Lattus, Charles Lattus Jr., Jonjo Bryant, Earl Wayne Bradshaw and Lace Busby Jr.
The family requests that memorials be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hickman.

Mrs. Lattus was born Sept. 8, 1910, in the Jordan, Ky., community, daughter of the late Dan and May McKelvey. She married Jor Lattus Sr. Dec. 29, 1937. He died Jan. 22, 1985. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Helen Lattus of Wilmington, N.C.; her daughter, Joye (Lattus) Miles of Union City; another daughter-in-law, Carole Lattus of Hickman; four grandchildren and their spouses, Deia and Chris Saunders and Ginger Dotson, all of Danville, Va., Tanya and John Long of Troy and Tommy Lattus of Hickman; seven great-grandchildren, Andrea Joy of Dyersburg, Alexandria Sawyer of Kenton, Brock Griffin, Trad Long and Ty Long, all of Troy, and Karagan Saunders and Remington Saunders, both of Danville; and two great-great-grandchildren, Mason Adkins of Dyersburg and Rylee Sawyer of Kenton.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Joe Lattus Jr., and six brothers and her sister.

Mrs. Mary McKelvey Lattus, 98, of Hickman died Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Golden Living Center in Union City, TN.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by on son, Jerry Lattus of Wilmington, N.C.; one daughter, Joyce Lattus Miles of Union City; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lattus Sr., and one son, Joe Lattus Jr. Her parents were Dan McKelvey and May Josephine Glen McKelvey.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hickman with Father Shijo Vadakkumkara officiating. Burial will follow at Hickman City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Strong Funeral Home in Hickman and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
