Lorene L. McMurray, 84, died Sept. 2, 2009, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born May 7, 1925, in Tonkawa, Okla., the daughter of Jesse and Amelia Horcheimer Bradley.
She was a 1943 graduate of Madison High School. A resident of Hutchinson since 1967, moving here with her husband and family from El Dorado, she was a homemaker and had worked at the Sears Department Store in Hutchinson as a clerk in the infant department. She was member of the Lutheran Church, Garber, Okla.
On Nov. 18, 1943, she married Don McMurray in Olathe. He survives.
Other survivors include: daughter, Kathy Voth and husband Lawrence, Hutchinson; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, John "Doug" McMurray on Nov. 23, 2004, and two brothers.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson, with Pastor Robert L. Albin presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
