Billy Ray James, 63, a longtime Paducah resident passed away Wednesday Sept 2, 2009 at his home in Graham, TX.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, Sept 4th at the First Baptist Church of Paducah with Elder Steve Porter officiating. Interment will follow in the Paducah Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Seigler Funeral Home.

Billy was born in Crowell, TX to Granville Dale and Alverta Pearl James. He received his education in East Texas and moved to Paducah in his early 20's. He earned his way in life as a farmer and in 1981 He married Annette Porter. Together they worked and raised their family. Billy was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church, and the Paducah Volunteer

Fire Dept. He was very active in the Little League, 4-H Club and all school sports programs.

Billy was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather and family man. He was always willing to give a friend a helping hand but his favorite pass time was spending quality time with his family.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents one son, Lloyd Ray James and one grandson, Lukas Taylor and sister Marie Whited.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Annette James.
Three sons, Kristin Ray James of Plano, Stephen David James of Corpus Christi, Gordon Scott Taylor of Graham.
One daughter, Sarah Melissa Reed of Lewisville
Two brothers, David James of Lubbock, Johny James of Orange, TX and 9 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Lukas Taylor Memorial Fund
