Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Melissa Merritt, 73, who died May 11 at her home route 2, Clever, were held Thursday, May 14 in the Clever Baptist Church conducted by Rev. R. W. Forbes and Rev. Everett Bryant. Burial was in Jamesville Cemetery under direction of the Harris Funeral Home of Clever. She is survived by her husband, Ben Merritt, two sons and five daughters. She had spent most of her life in the Hurley community and was a member of the Hurley Baptist Church.
