MARTHA O'DAY
March 20, 1935 ~ Oct. 10, 2009

With great sorrow we announce that on October 10, 2009, Martha Dean O'Day said her final farewell to this world. Everyone who knew her will never forget all that she brought to their lives.
She married Jordan B. O'Day on December 31, 1965; he preceded her in death on January 27, 1990.
In her free time, she loved to read her favorite romance novels, work on needlepoint and crochet projects, bake and cook delicious meals, take camping and fishing trips, and travel to see family or nearby casinos. Martha will forever be missed, and will be loved even longer.
Comfort and Sweetness of Peace
~ by Helen Steiner Rice
After the clouds, the sunshine,
After the winter, the spring,
After the shower, the rainbow,
For life is a changeable thing.
After the night, the morning,
Bidding all darkness cease,
After life's cares and sorrows,
The comfort and sweetness of peace.
Martha will be lovingly remembered by sons, Fred Friend, Leslie Friend, and Larry O'Day; daughters, Betty Rosling, Joan Krecklow, and Sheila Baughman; step-children, Michael O'Day, William (Bill) O'Day, and Cindy O'Day; along with her 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Please join us in Celebrating the Life of Martha at Park Hill Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Tues., Oct. 13, 2009. Memorial offerings can be made to Kaiser Hospice at 2701 NW Vaughn St., Ste. 140, Portland, OR 97210.
