SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Portia Rose McFall of St. Louis County, MO, formerly of Cowden, IL, passed away Sunday morning Jan. 12, 2012 in Christian Hospital North East in St. Louis, MO.
Portia was born May 15, 1924 in Tower Hill, IL the daughter of Sidney and Gail McManaway Roberts.
She married Forest Earl McFall June 11, 1943 in Chester, IL and he passed away Feb. 7, 2007.
Portia was a loving homemaker for family and loved to sew and work on puzzles.
Surviving is a daughter Pat Phipps of Florissant, MO; grandchildren: Jill McEuen, Kimberly Logan, Dana Jones and Tricia Knolhoff; six great grandchildren; sister Jean Tucker of Beecher City, IL and brother Louis Roberts and wife Betty of Cairo, OH and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Forest, parents and daughter Vivian Bennett.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday Jan. 19, 2012 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden, IL. David Logan will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of the service on Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be Mound Cemetery, Cowden, IL. Memorials can be made to Long Meadow Rescue Ranch for horse care and rescue.
