Funeral services for Cornelius "Moon" Mullins, 72, of Winnsboro were held at 3:30 p.m., Feb. 21 in the Jesus Name Apstolic Church of Swampers, with the Rev. Jessie Booth and the Rev. Manuel Wollerson officiating.
Interment was in Harris Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home.
A native of Alexanderia, he was born Dec. 9, 1913. He was a farmer. He died on Feb. 20, 1986.
Survivors include his wife, Vernada Mullins, Winnsboro; three sons, Charles Ed Mullins and Willie Mullins both of Crowville, Joe David Mullins, Swampers; one step-son, James Sanderson, Minden; four daughters, Faye Anderson,Washougal, Wash., Anne Pendleton,
LaPlace, Pearlie Taylor, Olla and Dale Berry, Wisner; four sisters, Mrs. Virgil Dunn, Delhi, Mrs. Thomas Biggs, Crowville, Mrs. Pearlie Smith and Mrs. Mary Ryland, both of Pineville; 11 grand children and one great-grandchild.
Pallbeares were Ray Dunn, Jimmy Biggs, Sonny Mullins, L.W. Speights, Randy Newsom and Dewayne Biggs.
