He was born in Bedford County Oct. 31, 1872, a son of Henry P. and Rachael (Fickes) Beegle, and married Minnie Helsel at the Newry Lutheran Church Jan. 11, 1894. The couple marked their 50th wedding anniversary in 1944. Mrs. Beegle died Sept. 20, 1945.
Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Edward of Foot of Ten, Harold of Maple Hollow Road, Mrs. Helen Ritchey of Derry and Mrs. Diehl; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one brother and sister, Nate of Duncansville and Mrs. Clara Smith of Bedford.
Mr. Beegle was a member of the Duncansville Lutheran Church and retired as a carpenter in 1950.
Friends will be received at the Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, after 2 p.m. tomorrow.
