WRENE WOOLLEY COVINGTON, 46, of Memphis, director of admissions at Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal School and former teacher at Briarcrest, died of cancer Saturday at St. Peter Villa. Services will be at Idlewild Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder, with burial in Memorial Park.

She was a member of Memphis Junior League, Les Passees, Memphis Dental Auxiliary, Memphis Association of Independent Schools and was a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee. She was also an ordained deacon.

Mrs. Covington, the wife of Dr. John Stansill Covington III for 23 years, also leaves a daughter, Caroline Meriwether Covington; her parents, Wilma and Walter Woolley, and a sister, Wendy W. Alexander, all of Memphis. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Idlewild Presbyterian Church or Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
