He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a resident of Rising Fawn, GA for 50 years and worked a number of years at Wallace Tile.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Minnie Agnew Sr.; brothers, Bert and Bill Agnew; sister, Peggy Allison.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews; special friends and neighbors, David Lyons, Randy Stone and Margie Cameron; special caregiver, Christine Samples.
The family would like to give special thanks to Adventa Hospice for their love and care, and also to all other active caregivers.
Graveside service with military honors will be held 2 p.m. EDT Friday at Chattanooga National Cemetery, there will be no visitation.
