Rusk, March 25 -- Hon. James A. Francis, a venerable citizen of this county, aged seventy years, died to-day at his residence in this city. Mr. Francis was an industrious, well-to-do farmer, and had many friends and no enemies. He served with distinction in the Sixth, Eighth and Tenth Legislatures of Texas.

Hon. James C. Francis, a number of terms representative in the legislature from Cherokee county, died at his home in Rusk, on Friday, at the age of seventy years, and was buried with masonic honors.
