Paul J. O'Neil.....
Paul J. O'Neil , 97 , formerly of Frontenac , died at 6:20 p.m. Monday
in Mt. Carmel Medical Center , Pittsburg . He had been a resident of the
Sunset Manor Nursing Home since 1982 and entered the hospital on Friday
. Mr. O'Neil was bon in Scammon to Hugh and Helen Fisher O'Neil . He
was reared in the Home of his sister , Minnie Moran , who lived in Weir
. He lived in the Scammon-Weir area before moving to Frontenac in 1924 .
Mr. O'Neil married Lydia Daughtery in 1920 at Oswego . She preceded
him in death in Sept. 27,1970. Mr. O'Neil was employed by the Apex Coal Company for many years , retiring in 1956 . He was a member of the UMWA Distric No. 14 of Pittsburg . Additional Survivors include two nieces who looked after Mr. O'Neal, Garnet O'Neal of Two Twin Lakes Court , Pittsburg and Helen Hudson ,
Pittsburg route three , and six grandchildren .
Mr. O'Neil was preceded in death by one son , Paul J. O'Neil who
died April 16 , 1978 .
Arrangements will be announced by the Friskel Funeral Home ,
Frontenac .

Funeral services for Paul J. O'Neil , 97 , of Frontenac who died
July 4 , will be held at 10:00 am Saturday in the Friskel Funeral Home ,
230 E. McKay , Frontenac . The Rev. Verl Strong will officiate . Burial
will be in the Garden of Memories , Pittsburg . Friends may call from
1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home .
Additional survivors of Mr. O'Neil not mentioned in the obituary
published earlier are nine great grandchildren . Three sisters and three
brothers have preceded him in death .
