Miss Ruby A. Halley, of Los
Angeles, Calif., has informed The
Tribune of the death of her sister,
Miss Garnet Halley, in Jacksonville,
Florida.
Miss Halley's remains, following
cremation, were brought to Tipton
for interment April 17 by a cousin,
Mrs. Nellie M. DeFord, of Castleton.
The Florida woman's death occurred
April 5. She had been hopitalized with a
serious illness, but was thought to be improving.
Miss Halley died in her sleep, and her
death was discovered by her landlady
the following morning.
Miss Ruby Halley, only survivor
of the former Tipton resident, has
been a shut-in for several years,
suffering with arthritis. The Halley
family resided in Tipton many
years ago. Miss Halley's address
is 905 Cottage Place, Los Angeles.
