Norris N. "Brown" Attkisson, age 96, of Hepler, Kansas, died at 6:10 a.m. on Sunday, September 10, 1006 in Garden Terrace of Overland Park where he was a resident since February 4, 2005. He was born on November 29, 1909 at Hepler, the son of John "Jack" A. and Jennie Susan Byers Attkisson. He married Julia "Jude" Maffei on October 6, 1935 by the Rev. V.A. Nickle in the United Methodist Church in Walnut, Kansas. She preceded him in death on March 20, 1998. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Susan Seaver, on September 25, 1996; three sisters, Lavon Holtman, Hazel Cooke, and Lois Harryman; one brother, Samuel Wesley Attkisson; and two nephews, John Harryman and John Attkisson.
