Former Canyon Man Succumbs
Milton Oliver Slack, 72 years old, died Saturday at Bentonville, Ark., following an accident with some runaway mules. A resident of Canyon since 1903, he moved to Bentonville 18 months ago.
Mr. Slack was the father of Randall County Judge Burney Slack, of Canyon.
He was born in Fannin County, June 2, 1875.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge at Canyon.
Besides the son, he is survived by a brother, Tom V. Slack, Canyon; a half-brother, J. P. Sharp, Tulia; a half-sister, Mrs. Mary Moore, San Antonio; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock today in the First Methodist Church at Canyon.
Interment will be in Dreamland Cemetery, directed by the Griggs-Warren Funeral Home.
