Lottie was the daughter of Guilford David Clifford and Unity Bell Walker. She married Robert Toombs Taylor.

Obituary from the "Orlando Sentinel," Orlando, FL, December 1, 1975:

"Lake County's 'Miss Lottie' Dead At 102.
"Mrs. Lottie Clifford Taylor, oldest and one of the best known residents of Eustis, died Sunday at the age of 102.
"'Miss Lottie,' as she was affectionately known, moved to Eustis with her family 99 years ago from Saltville, W. Va., and lived in Ocala, St. Petersburg, Atlanta and Orlando before returning to the family's big frame house at 536 N. Bay St. in 1923.
"She started school at age four so there would be enough students to qualify for a school in the sparsely populated area, and after graduation attended Shorter College in Rome, Ga. for two years, before marrying Robert Toombs Taylor when she was 'almost 19.'
"'Yes, I'm surprised to have lived so long ... didn't expect to,' she said when she was interviewed on her 100th birthday.
"'Miss Lottie' is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Una Taylor Story and Mrs. Charlotte Taylor Wilson, both of Eustis; two sons, Guilfors Clifford Taylor, Jacksonville, and Robert Toombs Taylor, Jr., Newport, Ark.; sisters, Mrs. Kate Sasser, St. Petersburg, Mrs. Ruth C. Owens, LaGrange, Ga., and Mrs. Gertrude Herrick, Atlanta; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
"She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis, the American Legion Auxiliary, Eustis, Lake County Historical Society, Daughters of the American Revolution [Ocklawaha Chapter], Society of Daughters of 1812, National Society of Old Plymouth Colony Descendents and the Womens Club of Eustis.
"Funeral services will be held at Zeller, Kennedy and Hamlin funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. George Kress officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis."

Lottie donated her house on Bates Avenue and Bay Street to the city, and the Eustis Historical Society houses a museum there.
