Mrs. Grant was born March 19, 1873, in Nelson County, a daughter of the late John Wesley and Emma Watts Fauber. She was a member of the Mt. Paran Baptist Church near Montebello.
Surviving are four sons: Troy W. Grant of Route 2, Staunton, C. B. Grant of Route 3, Staunton, W. T. Grant of Route 6, Staunton, and N. W. Grant of Waynesboro; four daughters, Mrs. J. L. Blackwell and Mrs. T. V. Ramsey, both of Route 2, Staunton, Mrs. Jerry T. Campbell of Staunton, Mrs. A. C. Grant of Bristol, Ind.; two brothers, J. B. Fauber of Richmond and W. W. Fauber of Vesuvius; two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Bradley of New Kent and Mrs. Maggie Painter of Florida; 46 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mt. Paran Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Andrew Johnson, pastor of Linden Heights Baptist Church, and the Rev. E. R. Calhoun Jr., pastor of Mt. Paran. Burial will be in the Grant family cemetery near Montebello.
Pallbearers will be Melvin Fauber, James Fauber, Kenneth LaPorte, Jack Ralston, Clarence Lunsford, Clarence Livick, C. S. McCormick, and Carlo Fauber. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
The body will remain at the Fred Henry Funeral Home here until noon Thursday, when it will be placed in the church.
