Liberty, Feb. 6 -- Henry Carroll Gatlin, Sr., 86, pioneer farmer of Hankamer, died Monday morning at 7 o'clock at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the First Baptist church in Devers. The Rev. J. L. Hand of Anahuac will officiate. Burial will be in the Abshire cemetery.
Surviving are three sons, Martin, of Houston; Johnny, of Sour Lake, and H. C. Gatlin of Beaumont; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Dugat, of Sour Lake, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. R. C. Gatlin, of Devers, and 23 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The Roper funeral home of Liberty has charge of arrangements.
