Joann Craig, 71, of Clarendon Hills, Ill., formerly of Lorain, died Sunday at her home from cancer.
She was born in Lorain.
Mrs. Craig was a dancer, singer, actress and ballet teacher.
She began her career as a Roadio City Music Hall Rockette.
She was the featured dancer at Billl Rose's Diamond Horseshoe and at many other clubs in New York City and Havana, Cuba during the late 1940s.
She toured for a year as "Ado Annie" in the Broadway roadshow of the musical "Oklahoma."
After moving to Clarendon Hills, Ill., in 1953, she starred and choreographed many community theater productions in the Chicago suburban area.
She also operated a successful ballet school for more than 40 years.
