Fayette C. NORTH died at his residence just north of this village Friday, April 2. The funeral was held in the Methodist Episcopal church Sunday afternoon, Rev. Geo. R. Mott officiating. His six sons, John, Arthurs, Richard, Lemuel, Stanley and Henry acted as bearers. The two first mentioned live in New York city, the other four are residents of Chazy. Besides the six sons, Mr. NORTH left a wife who was a daughter of the late Rev. Arthur DOUGLASS, many years in missionary in India, where Mrs. NORTH, a student in the Potsdam Normal.

Mr. NORTH was born in Chazy eight two years ago and for man years was one of its most prominent citizens, being engaged with his brother under the firm name of P.F & F.C. NORTH, the manufacture of potato starch, lumber and maple sugar, _____ their large farming interests. For many years Mr. NORTH was supervisor of the town and was very active in police matters until within the past five years. Since then he has been crippled with rheumatism and unable to leave the house.
