Mary Jane Whiteside was married to William Burke Barnebey on February 13, 1834 in Clark County. She is the daughter of William B. and Elizabeth Ann (Blankenship) Whiteside. She had 12 children.

1888 - OBITUARY
Mrs. Wm. B. Barnaby died at her home eight miles north of Paris last Saturday night of dropsy after a lingering illness. She was 70 years of age, had been a member of the Methodist church for over 54 years, and a consistent Christian lady. She was buried at Greenwood cemetery Sunday afternoon. She leaves a husband and a large number of children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends to mourn her loss.
