Maria courageously left Mexico and moved to the United States leaving her family behind to explore a new life. She had been a resident of the area since 1962.
She worked at United Welding in Brighton with her late husband Edgar "Andy". She also had a legal career in Mexico City for many years. Maria was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Wellington.
Survivors include her siblings, Roberto Salazar and Amelia Salazar, step-children Roger Davidson, Joy Bash, Mary Jackson and Ruby Valek; seven step-grandchildren and 14 step-great grandchildren.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar E. "Andy" Davidson in 1995, and a brother, Francisco Salazar.
