Maria "Holly" Angelina (nee Mendosa)) Davidson, 94, of Wellington, died Tuesday,June 16, 2009 at the Elm's Retirement Village. Maria was born August 5, 1914 in
Santa Rosa de Jauregui, Mexico to the late Trinidad and Laura Mendosa.
Maria courageously left Mexico and moved to the United States leaving her family behind to explore a new life. She had been a resident of the area since 1962.
She worked at United Welding in Brighton with her late husband Edgar "Andy". She also had a legal career in Mexico City for many years. Maria was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Wellington.
Survivors include her siblings, Roberto Salazar and Amelia Salazar, step-children Roger Davidson, Joy Bash, Mary Jackson and Ruby Valek; seven step-grandchildren and 14 step-great grandchildren.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar E. "Andy" Davidson in 1995, and a brother, Francisco Salazar.
