Daisy Brewer,94, of Talihina, Oklahoma passed away on March 3, 2003. She was born January 14, 1909 in Yanush, Oklahoma, to Silas and Lucy Ryan Edmonds. Daisy lived her entire life in the Yanush, Laura, Falfa, and Talihina areas. She attended school at Laura and Falfa, and was a member if the Falfa Baptist Church. She married Oliver Brewer on June 26, 1926 and they had nine children. Daisy is survived by eight children and their spouses: Laudis of Talihina; Junior and Jennie of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Ray and Sue of McAlester, Oklahoma; Louise and Paul Davis of Talihina, Oklahoma; Robert and Virginia of Clayton, Oklahoma; Gilbert of Talihina, Oklahoma; and Gladys and James Kennedy of Roff, Oklahoma, 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Fran Rose of Poteau, Oklahoma, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; five brothers, Willie, Herbert, Dewey,(Stem), Richard, and John. Three sisters, Gracie, Winnie, and Grace; and three stepsisters: Crin, Sadie, and Zella. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2003 at the Old Talihina Cemetery, with Rev. Carrol Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow, arrangements are under the direction of the Talihina Funeral Home.
