Christopher Todd Youngblood

THE WOODLANDS, TX - Christopher Todd Youngblood went to be with his Heavenly Father after a tragic motorcycle accident on August 28, 2009. Services will be held at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2009 officiated by Rev. Chad Grayson and Rev. Harrell Shelton of Airline Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery, Bossier City, LA. The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.

Chris was born on June 7, 1965 to Revis and Louise Youngblood of Bossier City, LA. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Dee and Carrie Stanley, Foster and Myrtle Youngblood and his nephew, Jake Ewing.

Prior to moving to The Woodlands, TX where he was employed as a Certified Respiratory Therapist by St. Luke Methodist Hospital and Herman Memorial Hospital, he was manager of Medical Technologies, Inc. in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of The Woodlands Baptist church and accepted Christ as his Savior as a young boy.

Chris was fun to be around and was always the center of attention with his infectious personality and endless jokes. He was a rebel to the ways of the world and soldier to the Word of God. A devoted father, loving friend, adored brother and uncle and an endearing, happy son who never met someone he couldn't make smile. He will be remembered as an athlete, a family man, diehard Cowboys fan, and a self-proclaimed genius with a free spirit. He was a southern country boy turned into a city man. He loved baseball, football, basketball, fishing, golf, rock "n" roll and country music. He was a compassionate being, who, as a respiratory therapist, put his heart and soul into his work. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Chris is survived by sons, Trevor and Nathan Youngblood and their mother Reneau Youngblood; daughter, Cydney and her mother Crystal Youngblood; parents, Revis and Louise Youngblood; sister, Karen Farrar and husband Ronnie; brothers, Revis Youngblood, Jr. and wife Frances and Mark Youngblood. Chris is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who remember his antics with love and his best friend since childhood, Joey Enis, who was like a brother to him.

Honoring Chris as pallbearers will be John Castore, Alen Kyson, Randy Elledge, Walter Bigby, Brian Driggers and Keith Bush.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Enis, John Philip Castore, Mark Hutchison, Doug Bowden, Scott Gay, Doug Rogers and Thomas Maddox. The family would especially like to thank Kasey Enis for being there when we could not and for having the strength to handle situations that were beyond our control. Rose-Neath Funeral Home
