Interment was in Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Mo. H.S. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of services.
Mrs. Collins was born in Caruthersville, Mo, on January 21, 1894 and departed this life at the Jackson General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee on February 6, 1985 at the age of 91 years and 15 days.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. Mark Hudgings and Mrs. Nellie O'kefe Hudgings, and attended the Sacred Heart School in Caruthersville. In 1921 she graduated from High School at the Visitation Academy in St. Louis, Mo. Mrs. Collins taught school in the Carlton and McCarty School systems for a number of years.
In St. Louis, Mo., she was united in marriage to Mr. Walton Morrison Collins. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1927. Also one daughter, Dorothy, preceded her in death in 1918.
Mrs. Collins was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and belonged to the V.F.W. Auxillary Number 4680.
Mrs. Collins is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Helen C. Hughes of Caruthersville; one grandson, Robert M. Hughes of Jackson, Tennessee; and one granddaughter in law, Mrs. Robert Hughes of Jackson, Tennessee.
Pallbearers were John Dale, Harold Willis, Me. Gale Larry Privett, Billy Collins, Billy Watkins, Ralph Goodin, and Steve Dale.
