His father was 40 years old when he was born so both of his grandfathers died when he was 2-3 years old.
Christopher was 23 when in 1815 he married Hannah Randall.

He was 51 when his father died in 1842. His father's will of 1842 seems to infer that Chris III was sick--his father left money to be held for Christopher's doctor bills.

In 1856 there seems to have been a mass movement of pioneers to Minnesota. Several of Christopher's children (Miles in 1856, Sophia, Chris IV, Ermina & Cornelia) moved to Minnesota -- maybe together about 1856, or maybe in separate years. (Chris IV served in the Civil War from Vermont, so perhaps he moved to Minnesota after the War.)

Christopher III himself was still in Vermont in 1860 with daughter Cornelia, so he evidently moved out west later to be with some of his children (son Miles had already moved on to Missouri 1859).
In Minnesota daughter Cornelia married William Metcalf (who was the brother of Susan Metcalf, wife of Miles Pease), so he had 2 in-laws from this Metcalf family.
Evidently Chris IV inherited the Minnesota family farm because he stayed in Whitewater twp. and was buried there in the same cemetery as his parents and his sister Cornelia. The other children later moved on to other states.

Whitewater twp was in the far NW corner of Winona Co, MN. The Pease family seem to have lived in section 22 (right about in the middle) near the little village of Beaver.
Whitewater Falls is located near the banks of the Whitewater River north of Elba and south of Beaver on a bend on gravel MN hwy. 74. Nothing remains of Whitewater Falls except the semi-hidden Whitewater Cemetery.

Some of the children did not move to Minnesota, most of those who did moved on to other states. Only the children of Sophia and Cornelia may have remained in Minnesota.
