HUGER - Remonia Miller Ackerman, 68, a former employee with Piggly Wiggly, died Thursday at her residence. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Quimby Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Dial-Murray Funeral Home in Moncks Corner, will be in Halfway Creek Church Cemetery near Huger.
Mrs. Ackerman was born in North Charleston, a daughter of Edward Miller and Laura Cumbee Miller. She was a former weaver with Garco. She was a member of Quimby Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are her husband, Bluford Ackerman; a daughter, Donna Cales of Jamestown; a son, Edward O'Quinn of Hanahan; three sisters, Yvonne Gaskins of St. Stephen, Pansy Gaskins of Huger and Jeanette Fort of Mount Pleasant; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
