David Ray Prinkey, 64 of Mechanicsville, MD, formerly of Forestville, MD died on Monday, November 8, 2004 at Washington Hospital Center.
Born on August 21, 1940 in Normalville, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Ellsworth and Lucy Ellen Brooks Prinkey. He has resided in this area for 4 years. He was a retired Police Officer with the Metropolitan Police Dept. Prior he served in the U.S. Air Force. He also was a member of F.O.P. and helped with the Calvert Optimist Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.Survived by children, David Harold Prinkey of Oakville, MD and Marci Jo Bradshaw of Mechanicsville, MD, sisters, Mildred Zachavias, Marlene Bateman, brothers, Dale, Arnold Dick and Tom Prinkey. Also grandchildren, Brittney, Lauren, Alyssa, Damian, Camille, Dustin, and Devin survive him. Two brothers, Robert andHarold Prinkey predeceased him.Family received friends on Thursday, November 12, 2004 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where a Funeral Service was held at 7 p.m. Reverend Edward Baker officiated. Interment will be held today, Friday, November 12, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.Memorial contributions may be made to: American Stroke Association, C/O American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060.Arrangements provided by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., Charlotte Hall, MD.
