Frederick News-Post - September 12, 1914

J. Sprigg Poole, sixty-eight years old, a resident of Washington, for a half-century, died this morning at his summer home near Rockville, Md. He had been failing since last spring, but had been seriously sick for only about two weeks. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Mr. Poole was resident vice-president of the Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland, having held that position for the last five years. He had been in the service of the company for nearly twenty-five years, having been one of the first agents appointed.

He was a vestryman of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. His wife, Mrs. Annie E. Poole, and two daughters, Misses Martha and Katherine Poole, survive him.
