Mrs. Lena Hofmann Is Taken By Death
Funeral Services Tuesday Afternoon
Mrs. Lena Hofmann, 74, of 616 Winchester Street, died at 7 o'clock Saturday evening at the Adams County Memorial Hospital, where she had been critically ill for three days.
She was born in Wanatah Jan. 10, 1883, a daughter of Fred E. and Wilhelmina Werner-Vergin, and was married to Fred Hofmann April 26, 1911. Her husband preceded her in death April 14, 1949.
The family lived in Pleasant Township, Van Wert County, O., for 35 years, Mrs. Hofmann moving to Decatur in 1949.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Richard Mailand and Mrs. Robert Nyffeler, both of Decatur; two grandchildren, Harold and Ellen Mailand; a brother, Carl Vergin of Culver, and one sister, Mrs. Carl Bohling of Napoleon, O. Four brothers are deceased.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Zwick Funeral Home, the Rev. William C. Feller officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home until time of the services.
