Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 at the Hope Moravian Church for Benjamin Eli Reed, 87, who died Sunday at his home, west of Hope. The service was in charge of the Rev. Ernest Drebert. Favorite hymns were sung by Miss Mary Dodd, Mrs. Anne Reed, M. Boaz, and Charles Smiley. Burial was made in the Moravian Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ralph Heilman, Leonard Thayer, Ollie Stewart, Newt Epperson, Glen Snider, and Mr. Craig. Flowers were carried by Mrs. Louis Herron, Miss Rachael Graham, Miss Goldie Carolyn Holder, Miss Louis Glick and Miss Florence Reed.
Relatives from a distance who were here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Roller, Mr. and Mrs. Eli Roller, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Roller and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Roller of Sharpsville; Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Reed of Peoria, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reed of Bengal; Mrs. Harve Oltman, William, John and Robert Oltman, William, John and Robert Oltman of Mt. Auburn; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Epperson, Mrs. Kate Gilliland and son Clarence, and Mrs. Homer Calhoun, and Mrs. William Herron of Columbus.
