Richard Raymond Moore
11/1/1912 3/23/2003
Richard Raymond Moore was born November 1, 1912, in Pixley, California. He passed away March 23, 2003, in Bakersfield, California, after a lengthy illness. He was the son of the late Nathan and Maude Golden Moore of Granite Station.
Except for a few years the family lived in Earlimart, he spent his entire life on the ranch in the Granite Station area.
In World War II, Raymond was with the 91st Infantry Division which was called Powder River Division. They went from North Africa to Italy (Anzio and Naples) and up the Po Valley. So many were lost in his division, he always felt lucky to have made it back to Bakersfield.

Three nephews, Lloyd Kretzer of Bakersfield, Dennis Hurst of Newport Beach, CA, Chris Hurst of Irvine, CA; and a niece, Beatrice Coffer of Sonora, CA. At his request, there will be no services
