Ninabelle was born to Earl and Catherine Myrtle (Landon) Brown. The family moved to a house on Montgomery Road in Marlette, MI early in her life. Siblings were John, Juhl, Thelma, Joseph, Jim, Jay, Junior, Eleanor and Jerald. Nina attended Marlette Schools. She married Albert Cotter, who was tragically killed in the Korean War shortly after they were married. She joined the Army as a WAC and met James R. Lowe, a staff sargeant for General Mark Clark, in Tokyo while both were stationed there during the Korean War. She married James Robert Lowe on July 26, 1954 and lived in Cleveland, OH. Children: Susan Lynn of Lexington, SC (husbands William Petty (deceased 6/7/2013); Jeffrey White, Gary VanFossen) (children Tim VanFossen (wife Lindsay and children Reagan Jane and Lincoln James) and Dylan White (Brianna Jolley and child Caley Sophia), Deana Lee of Chardon, OH (husband Don Finkler and children Danielle and Diana), Steven James of Beloit, OH (wife JoAnne Davis and children Hannah and Austin), Christy Lanett of Leroy, OH (husband Tim Freeman and children Tim (wife Becky and child Lucas Freeman) and Tom (wife Jen) and Scott Robert of Portland, OR (wife Karen Redenshak). The family moved to Wickliffe, Ohio in 1959 from Cleveland, Ohio, where her husband still lives today. Nina was a Christian, attending Friend's Church in Willoughby, Ohio, and demonstrated Christ's love in all she did.One of ten children of Katherine Myrtle Landon Brown and James Earl Brown of Marlette, Michigan 48453. (John, Joseph, Juhl, Thelma, Jim, Jay, Eleanor, Junior, Nina, and Jerald). Married Albert Cotter (died in WWII). Entered Army and met Sgt. James R. Lowe in Japan while stationed overseas during Korean conflict. After honorable discharge of both, married James R. Lowe in 1954 in Chardon, Ohio. Moved to Wickliffe, Ohio in 1959. Married 54 years, had 5 children: Susan, Deana,Steven, Christy and Scott.
