LAWSON _ Clarence "Bud " passed away on Monday, February 26, 2007 at the age of 88 years. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mabel; his loving wife, Olive; and his daughter Elizabeth. He will be remembered by his son Edwin (Pat) Lawson of Courtney, BC; daughter Edith (Howard) Leeson of Regina, SK; daughter Lynda (Bob) Baird of Edmonton, AB; son Bob (Linda) of Lumsden, SK; and son, Terry Lawson of Lumsden, SK; grandchildren: Bruce, John, Dana, Dawn, Gerry, Tara, Jeff, Leah-Anne, Jeanette, Tana, and Jennifer; and 19 great-grandchildren. Bud was born in Welland County, ON, but lived most of his early life in Galt, ON. He and Olive were married in 1940. Bud served in the armed forces of Canada during World War II in Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Germany. Upon returning to Canada after the war he went to work for the Canadian Brass Co. In 1954 the family moved to Red Deer, AB. In 1962 Bud and Olive moved to Lumsden, SK, where they started a family business. Lumsden remained Bud and Olive's home until their deaths. Bud was a strong supporter of the Canadian Legion. He will be fondly remembered by friends and comrades throughout Canada. A SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE will be held at St. Andrews United Church in Lumsden, SK on Saturday March 3, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. Lunch will follow.
