Lester F. Akins
Mr. Lester F. (Buck) Akins, 76, died Wednesday, Feb. 8 in Brown's Nursing Home after an extended illness. The native of Bulloch County had lived in Statesboro most of his life and was a retired painter. He was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
He is survived by two brothers, M.E. (Estus) Akins of Alamo and Joe Olliff Akins of Statesboro; two nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. from the Middleground Primitive Baptist Church with Elder W.H. Durrence officiating with burial in the Church Cemetery.
Smith-Tillman Mortuary in charge.
